Lizzy Poppyseed is a singer/songwriter whose soulful voice and roots in rock, soul, and blues have led to comparisons to Susan Tedeschi, Janis Joplin, The Black Crowes, Lady Gaga, and Joe Cocker. Mixing originals and genre-spanning covers, Lizzy’s sets are a combo of high energy dance party and power-packed piano sing-a-longs.
“Fueled with a voice in the leagues of Chris Robinson from The Black Crowes, Lizzy tackles life, death, religion, and more in the vein of Springsteen (with a tongue more firmly planted in cheek).”
Lizzy has played with many genres, including grunge and alternative rock with The Dirty Kids, Americana and alternative country on her debut solo album Stone Ground (2018), psychedelic soul with Rose Quartz (2019) and pop/hyperpop on her pandemic project Canary Yellow Lemon Popp (2020).
Lizzy currently performs in the Straits of Mackinac in Northern Michigan during the summer season.
